Casey Sheren, M.S. CCC-SLP
Background and Training
Casey T. Sheren, M.S., CCC-SLP is a
compassionate speech-language pathologist whose work is grounded in both child development and evidence-based speech therapy. She graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University’s Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development and earned her master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia University.
Clinical Experience
Casey specializes in creating developmentally appropriate, individualized treatment plans for children with speech, language, and feeding needs. She has provided in-home therapy through Early Intervention service as an independent contractor, supporting children with developmental delays, articulation challenges, language delays, and feeding difficulties. Since 2018, Casey has also worked at the Mount Sinai Hospital, where she evaluates and treats medically complex pediatric and adult patients with a wide range of speech, language, swallowing, and feeding disorders.
Philosophy of Care
Casey’s approach is deeply rooted in collaboration with families. She believes that therapy should be personalized, practical, and empowering, equipping caregivers with strategies that carry over into everyday life. From the first consultation to reaching communication goals, Casey partners closely with each family to support progress, confidence, and connection.
FAQ
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly at this time. However, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network (OON) reimbursement.
What are your payment options?
I accept cash, check, or Zelle. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes! I have a number of sliding scale spots based on household income. To apply, please request a Sliding Scale Application. Completing an application does not guarantee a spot, as availability is limited.
Do you provide services through NYC Early Intervention?
Not directly. I am not a contractor with the NYC Department of Health, so I am unable to provide Early Intervention services directly. However, I have extensive experience treating children ages 0–3 with a wide range of speech, feeding, medical, and developmental needs.
Do you provide bilingual services?
Yes! I provide services in English and Spanish, and I hold the Bilingual Extension certification in Spanish. Therapy is tailored to support children’s skills in both languages when appropriate.
Do you treat adults?
Yes! I have experience treating patients across the lifespan, including adults with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs. Please send a message via the contact form on my website with specific details about the client’s needs, and I can let you know if I can help.
Do you offer in-center or mobile speech therapy?
I provide mobile speech therapy services, traveling to clients’ homes. At this time, services are offered in-home only and not in a clinic or center.
